Races in the centre of Novosibirsk featuring a Top Gear driver 08/16/2013, 00:16
The smell of burning rubber, jam-packed stands and wire-mesh fences surrounded by spectators – the centre of Novosibirsk became a mini race track for one day only. Sib.fm's correspondent recorded this historic moment.
The event on 11 August involved G-Drive Racing driver Roman Rusinov, who took 3rd place at the 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race, winner of the Russian GT Academy Championship Mark Shulzhitsky in a GT-R Nismo and "special guest stars" from Britain: Top Gear driver Paul Swift and famous stuntman Terry Grant. The latter demonstrated dizzying stunts in a small car while trying to film himself on a phone that he'd taken from one of the spectators.
