Oldest stegosaurus skeleton to be shown in Krasnoyarsk
An ancient stegosaurus skeleton will be displayed at the Krasnoyarsk Local History Museum. Museum staff say it is the oldest stegosaurus skeleton ever found in the world at 165-170 million years old, and announced a competition to find the best name for it.

Scientists at Harvard have studied the genetic code of Denisova hominin remains found in the Altai Mountains and discovered fragments of a previously unknown species of human that supposedly lived in Asia more than 35,000 years ago in its DNA.

Siberian shamans performed skilled neurosurgical procedures in the 4th century
Scientists have studied the results of a 4th-6th century AD operation on the skull of a Siberian child. Local shamans made a correct diagnosis and tried to relieve his symptoms with a surgically-justified trepanation.
